UH80027 Rajasthani Hindu Picchavai (Painted Temple Festival Wall Hanging) rendered in opaque watercolours and gold detailing on a cotton ground, depicting Krisna & Radha celebrating the Holi Festival,  surrounded by 3 sets of Gopi (milk maids) in threes (18 total) dispersing the colours and some performing instruments all in a verdant lanscape with trees and four peacocks on the banks of the Yamuna River, shown with lotus and fish, floral painted border. Condition, Stitched cotton backing, pigment losses from creases, some linear, some random, otherwise good. Measuring: 47 in. x 70 in. Early 20th century.
