UH30020 Unusual Japanese porcelain figural sculpture, Kutani style, of a provocative rendition of Maneki Neko the good luck beckoning shop cat combined with a partially covered phallus, together a wish for good fortune and fertility/strength/union, the cat with a brightly decorated tied collar stands on hind legs with right paw gently removing a hemp leaf decorated cover (cloth the yin aspect), revealing a well detailed erect phallus (the yang aspect), his left paw is up at the side of his head in the beckoning gesture, expertly modeled and decorated in polychrome enamels with gilt highlights. Excellent condition.
